"Christmas Blues"

I have the Christmas Blues
Just travelin' through
Don't have any money
That's nothin' new
Santa Claus, where's those reindeer now?
My fingers are frozen
I need a ride somehow

Semi's are flyin'
Cars are zippin' by
Seems like I'm dying
This is my cry
Santa Claus, where are those reindeer now?
Are you stuck in a stuck in a chimney?
Why can't you see I need a ride?

It's 30 below
Frost on my guitar
I'm looking at the heavens
Look at all those stars
Well, if you're so special
If you're so kind
Where's those reindeer
Have you left me behind?

It wasn't too long
Wheels come screechin' to a halt
It didn't look like Santa Claus
What's this all about?
Two legged reindeer- and it wasn't Rudolf.
"Now don't you touch my guitar.
You can let me out"

I've got the Christmas blues-
just travelin' through
Don't have any money
That's nothing new.
Santa Claus, where's those reindeer now.
Are you stuck in a chimney?
Why can't you see I need a ride.

"Maybe It's A Good Thing"

Lost my service on the telephone
You can't call me when I'm home
I don't wanna hear what the neighbors say
Maybe it's a good thing

Maybe it's a good thing
Well you know it's not so bad
Maybe its a good thing
Maybe its a good thing.

My old car meets my needs.
Gasoline seems to exceed
Grocery bill is much too high
But I get by

I'm satisfied with french fries
Every morning-you and I
Pass the biscuits now and then
Maybe its a good thing.

Well I'll stay right here with my guitar
Save my money for winter
Sing a song - play a tune
"Maybe it's a good thing"

Maybe it's a good thing
Well you know it's not so bad
Maybe its a good thing
Maybe its a good thing.

"Do You Know Jesus?"

I was driving down the road
To a place called Hellvary
I picked up a hitch-hiker
And this he said to me

Chorus:
Do you know Jesus?
Do you know Jesus?
He's my friend
Do you know Jesus?

I said, "Sir, I met Him one time
But the cares of this life crowed my mind
There were bills to pay-errands to run
Not much time when the day was done.
I'd crawl into bed and then the morning would come"
And he said...

"Do you know Jesus?
Do you know Jesus?
He's my friend
Do you know Jesus?"

"Why do you ask?" It was bothering me
Something in my heart I could not see
But I know there was an emptiness
I turned to drugs that the doctor said was fine
I almost lost my mind

I'm going to drop him off just as soon as I can
He may be crazy - who is this man?
And he said,
"Do you know Jesus?
Before I leave, you must know Jesus"

Now that voice is still bothering me
I thought it would not hurt to pray
And I said, "Where are you Jesus?"
Now I say, "Hey, do you know Jesus?"

"Do you know Jesus?
Do you know Jesus?
He's my friend
Do you know Jesus?"
